Hidden Colors is a documentary series about the real and untold history of people of color around the globe. These films discusses some of the reasons the contributions of African and aboriginal people have been left out of the pages of history. It is a great series of hidden knowledge that has been eliminated from our history books.

Black History Month

It's black history month. This is probably the only time during the year when we learn a little bit about the African American culture. Then again its everything corporate America wants us to know. The books give us a watered down version. I decided I will post and continue to post at least on random or unknown fact about Black History... I started off with Dr. Martin Luther King he is one of the most recognized faces. 

King was born in Atlanta, Georgia. His father was pastor of a Baptist church, his mother a schoolteacher. Originally named Michael, he was renamed Martin when he was about six years old.

He entered Morehouse College in 1944, and here he met Dr Benjamin Mays, a scholar who encouraged him to enter the ministry. After graduating in 1948, King went to Crozer Religious Seminary to undertake post-graduate study. He received his doctorate in 1955.
